Restoration Hardware, Inc. Settlement
Restoration Hardware, Inc. Case Settles for $14,700
On October 27, 2014, a Consumer Products case was settled with Restoration Hardware, Inc. for importing and selling non-compliant Room Spray air fresheners between 2008 and 2012. These products contributed to 0.6 tons excess Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) emissions due to exceeding the 18% by weight VOC limit set under Consumer Products Regulation for “Air fresheners: liquid/pump spray” specified in Title 17, CCR, section 94509(a). In addition, the codes used on the products did not have date-code explanations filed with ARB as required in section 94512(c). Restoration Hardware paid $14,700 to settle this case.
