California diesel fuel emission-equivalent formulations are certified by executive order in accordance with 13 CCR 2282(g). The formulations are certified to be equivalent to the aromatic hydrocarbon standard of 10 percent by volume or, for small refiners, 20 percent by volume with a volume limitation. Most of the certified formulations are proprietary. However, five formulations have been provided for public use.
