$2,500 in Fines Paid by Regis
On October 27, 2004, samples of Claypac Play Spray Maximum Volume Hold Shine Hairspray and Total Control & Defense Spray Gel were obtained from a Trade Secret store in San Diego. The products did not comply with the 55 percent VOC for hairsprays nor the 6 percent limit for Hair Gels. The products were mistakenly shipped by Regis Corporation into their Trade Secret stores in California, however, they claimed that the manufacturer, Altobella, had not adequately notified Regis that it could not be sold in California. Regis settled the case on May 15, 2006 for a payment of $2,500.
