Reederei Peter Deilmann GmbH Case Settles for $2,000

Reederei Peter Deilmann GmbH has paid $2,000.00 in penalties to the California Air Pollution Control Fund for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on March 10, 2011. An investigation by the ARB showed that the Reederei Peter Deilmann vessel, Deutschland, failed to properly complete switchover for its diesel electric engines from Heavy Fuel Oil over to Low-Sulfur Distillate Fuel before entry into Regulated California Waters. To settle the case, Reederei Peter Deilmann GmbH agreed to the $2,000.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
