The Recycle Depot, Inc. Case Settles for $1,500
In March 2014, The Recycle Depot paid $1,500 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $1,125 went to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $375 went to the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District for the school bus retrofit Supplemental Environmental Project.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that The Recycle Depot documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP). To settle the case, The Recycle Depot agreed to the $1,500 penalty and to comply with the PSIP, Statewide Truck and Bus Program, and other ARB programs.
