Rainbow USA Company, Inc. Case Settles for $3,000.00

On January 11, 2013, a case was settled with Rainbow USA Company for selling “Brown Rice Hair Spray” subject to the VOC limit for “Hair Styling Products: Hairspray” category, title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 94509(a). The company paid $3,000 to settle the case. The product contained concentrations of VOC’s exceeding the 55 percent by weight VOC limit which resulted in approximately 0.096 tons of excess emissions.
