Rail Delivery Services,Incorporated Case Settles for $5,625
Rail Delivery Services,Incorporated will pay $5,625 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $5,625 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality. This settlement was reached in July 2017.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Rail Delivery Services,Incorporated failed to perform annual vehicle smoke opacity testing on a portion of applicable trucks in their diesel fleet. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP) as codified in California Code of Regulations, title 13, section 2180-2194 (13 CCR § 2180-2194). To settle the case, Rail Delivery Services,Incorporated agreed to the $5,625 penalty and to comply with PSIP and other ARB programs.
