California Air Resources Board

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has developed a draft Roadmap to Reduce Air Toxics (Roadmap). The Roadmap is a document that will guide CARB’s actions on toxic air pollution for the next 20 years and beyond.  

CARB invites public comment on the Roadmap between August 12, 2026, and September 16, 2026. Comments will be used to strengthen the Roadmap before it is presented to the Board later this year. The Roadmap is currently being translated into Spanish and will be made available on our website shortly. 

In addition to this comment period, there will be another opportunity to submit comments closer to the Board Meeting on the Roadmap later this year. 

Also, CARB is hosting a virtual workshop to introduce the Roadmap on August 25, 2026, from 5:00pm-7:00pm PST on Zoom. More information on the workshop and a registration link is available here.

To submit a comment:  

1. Fill out the fields in the comment form below (fields with a red asterisk are mandatory) 

2. You can type your comment in the "Message" field and/or you can type a note that your comment is included as an attachment. 

• If you want to provide your comments by uploading a document, click the "Choose files" button, then select your attachment to be uploaded.  

3. To complete the submittal of your comment, click the "Submit" button. 

Comments will be accepted for the duration of the comment period shown below. Comments are due by the end of the day on the deadline shown below.  

Viewing and/or Printing Public Comments 

Please note that under the California Public Records Act (Govt. Code Section 7920.000 et. seq.), your written and oral comments, attachments, and associated contact information (e.g. your address, phone, email, etc.) become part of the public record (Board Meeting Public Comments or Workshops, etc., Public Comments) and can be released to the public upon request.
