Variance Applicant: nVent Electric PLC (nVent)

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) invites interested parties to submit comments on nVent's application for a variance. All comments will be publicly accessible via this docket to support an inclusive and transparent process.

nVent submitted an application, pursuant to section 95378 of the HFC Regulation, for a variance from the requirements of section 95374(c). Specifically, section 95374(c) prohibits the use of HFCs with a GWP of 750 or greater in new other air-conditioning equipment. nVent is requesting an impossibility variance until January 2027.
