Permatex, Incorporated Settles for $108,500.00

In October 2019, the California Air Resources Board and Permatex, Incorporated of Solon, Ohio, reached a settlement agreement in the amount of $108,500. Permatex, Incorporated sold, supplied, offered for sale and/or manufactured a web spray adhesive product for use in California containing concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOC) that exceeded the standards specified in title 17, California Code of Regulations (17CCR), section 94509(a).  The VOC violation resulted in 8.05 tons of excess VOC emissions. To come into compliance, Permatex, Incorporated made modifications to the product.
