$2,000 in Fines Paid by Performance Brands

Performance Brands settled a case for $2,000 on August 29, 2006 concerning the sale of 58 units of Strong Hold Hairspray sold into California between 2003 and 2006. The hairspray contained concentrations of VOCS exceeding the 55 percent by weight VOC limit for hairspray specified in Title 17, CCR, Section 94509(a). The product samples were purchased from Redlands Beauty Centre in Redlands, California.
