Perez Distributing Fresno, Inc. Case Settles for $11,200

Perez Distributing Fresno, Inc. (Sanger, California) sold, supplied and/or offered for sale non-compliant Hair Finishing Products in California. Enforcement Staff purchased samples of Caprice Hair Spray and Caprice Naturals Hair Spray that contained concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOC) that exceeded the limit for the Hair Finishing Spray category specified in Title 17, California Code of Regulations (CCR), section 94509(a). The violation resulted in 0.7 tons of excess VOC emissions.  The settlement was fully executed in February 2019.  Perez Distributing Fresno, Inc. has agreed to pay a penalty of $11,200.00 and has ceased all sales of the products in California.
