Pacific National Transportation Case Settles for $2,000.00
Pacific National Transportation, Inc agreed to pay $2000.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations; $1,500 will go to the California Air Pollution Control Fund and $500 to the Peralta Community College District for distribution to participating California Council on Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) colleges. This settlement was reached in December 2012.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Pacific National Transportation, Inc failed to comply with the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP) Regulation by failing to test trucks in 2011 as required per the regulation. To settle this case, Pacific National Transportation agreed to the $2000 penalty and to comply with the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program.
