Pacific Maritime Group, Inc. Settles For $70,000.00
In August 2025, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) reached a settlement with Pacific Maritime Group, Inc. (PMG), with its principal location in San Diego, California, for the company’s violation of the Airborne Toxic Control Measure for Commercial Harborcraft (CHC Regulation), as codified in the California Code of Regulations, title 17, section 93118.5.
CARB Enforcement Division staff’s investigation discovered that PMG failed to report all fleet information completely and accurately in its annual report submission, and failed to meet the new and in-use emission standards for its vessels as required by the CHC Regulation. To settle the case, PMG agreed to the average penalty of $7,000 per vessel engine for a total settlement amount of $70,000.
PMG fully cooperated with CARB’s investigation. The total settlement amount will be deposited into CARB’s Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality.
