Pacific Line Cleanup, Inc. Settles For $33,000
In February 2022, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) reached a settlement with Pacific Line Cleanup, Inc. (PLC), with its principal location in Laguna Niguel, California, in the amount of $33,000 for the company’s violation of CARB’s air quality regulations. PLC has been granted a suspension of penalties if three vehicles are removed from their fleet per year until January 1, 2024.
CARB staff conducted an investigation that revealed PLC failed to meet the requirements of the Engine Model Year Compliance Schedule for six of its diesel vehicles. CARB documented the violations as they related to the Statewide Truck and Bus Program (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 13, § 2025.).
PLC agreed to the terms of the settlement, including the suspended penalty of $33,000, and the requirement that PLC remove noncompliant vehicles from their fleet. PLC fully cooperated with CARB to resolve this matter.
