Ocean Blue Environmental Services, Inc. Case Settlement
Ocean Blue Environmental Services, Inc. Case Settles for $7,500
Ocean Blue Environmental Services, Inc. will pay $7,500.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $7,500.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality. This settlement was reached in November, 2017.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Ocean Blue Environmental Services, Inc. failed to properly self-inspect 15 of their diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state smoke emission standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP). To settle the case, Ocean Blue Environmental Services, Inc. agreed to the $7,500.00 penalty and to comply with PSIP and other ARB programs.
