North County Sand & Gravel, Inc. Company Case Settles for $43,350
North County Sand & Gravel, Inc. will pay $43,350.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations. An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that North County Sand & Gravel, Inc., a construction materials supply business in Menifee, California failed to bring four (4) of their heavy duty diesel trucks into compliance with the applicable in-use performance standards. In addition, North County Sand & Gravel, Inc. failed to perform opacity tests on fourteen (14) vehicles and failed to ensure that two vehicles complied with the Emissions Control Label requirement. ARB documented violations as they related to the Truck and Bus (TB) Regulation. To settle the case, North County Sand & Gravel, Inc., agreed to the $43,350.00 penalty and to comply with TB and other ARB programs. This settlement was reached in May 2017.
