North Bay Hay & Grain, Inc. Case Settles for $3,500.00

In September 2013, North Bay Hay & Grain, Inc. agreed to pay $3,500 in penalties; $2,625 to the California Air Pollution Fund and $875 to Peralta Colleges Foundation, for violating air quality regulations.

An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that North Bay Hay & Grain, Inc. failed to properly self-inspect their diesel truck to assure the trucks met state emission standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program. To settle the case, North Bay Hay & Grain, Inc. agreed to the $3,500 penalty and to comply with the all ARB programs.
