Norbulk Shipping UK Ltd. Case Settles for $7,500

Norbulk Shipping UK Ltd. paid $7,500.00 in penalties to the California Air Resources Board, for violating air quality regulations.  This settlement was reached on July 1, 2016.  An investigation by the ARB showed that the Norbulk Shipping UK Ltd. vessel Wild Peony failed to operate on compliant distillate fuel upon entry into Regulated California Waters in 2016.  Norbulk Shipping UK Ltd. took prompt action after being notified of these violations and under ARB’s supervision began operating in a compliant fashion.  To settle the case, Norbulk Shipping UK Ltd. agreed to the $7,500.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
