Cal-Sierra Pipe, LLC Case Settles for $3,400.00
Cal-Sierra Pipe, LLC. agreed to pay $3,400.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations; $2,550.00 will go to the California Air Pollution Control Fund and $850.00 to the Peralta Community College District for distribution to participating California Council on Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) colleges. This settlement was reached in March 2012.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Cal-Sierra Pipe, LLC. failed to comply with the Drayage Truck regulation by dispatching and owning drayage trucks not compliant with the emissions standards set forth in the Drayage Truck Regulation. To settle the case, Cal-Sierra Pipe, LLC has agreed to the $3,400.00 penalty and to comply with the Drayage Truck regulation and other ARB applicable regulations.
