SACRAMENTO -- Thursday and Friday the California Air Resources Board (ARB) will hold a public meeting to review California's zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) mandate. The meeting is expected to have over 100 witnesses speak following a staff report to the Board on the current status of the ZEV program.
The meeting will be held at the following location:
Thursday, September 7 and
Friday, September 8
8:30 a.m.
Lincoln Plaza Auditorium, 1st Floor
400 P Street
Sacramento, California
The ARB's ZEV program, adopted in 1990, mandated that 10 percent of new automobiles sold in California must be zero emitting in 2003. This fifth biennial review will detail how automakers have progressed in manufacturing and distribution requirements. The goal of the meeting will be to ensure continued and sustainable success of the ZEV program.
