DAVIS – The California Air Resources Board and its decades of achievements leading the fight for clean air will be recognized and celebrated at a 50th Anniversary Symposium Friday, January 19, at the University of California, Davis. The half-day Symposium, hosted by the Institution of Transportation Studies and the UC Davis School of Law, will examine the challenges CARB faces in the coming decades as it sets in place clean air and climate change programs. Speakers and panelists include Gov. Jerry Brown Jr., CARB Chair Mary D. Nichols, Former U.S. EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy, UC Davis Professor Dan Sperling, Climate One founder and TV host Greg Dalton, and a wide variety of decision makers and leaders in academia, government and industry.
What: Panels featuring luminaries from academia, government and industry will lead lively, thought-provoking discussions about how to transform the ways we work, move and transport goods in the face of growing climate and clean air challenges.
When: Friday, January 19. The program begins at 12:15 p.m. with a welcome from Gov. Brown. Event will be live-streamed.
