SACRAMENTO – Just a reminder that the California Environmental Protection Agency's Air Resources Board (ARB) will officially begin its roadside heavy-duty diesel truck and bus smoke inspection program tomorrow, June 3, 1998.
A media availability starts at 10:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. at the Port of Sacramento.

Why: | The inspection program is being implemented to assure that heavy-duty diesel vehicles meet California's air emissions standards. Heavy-Duty vehicles have not been subject to any type of routine emission inspections since 1993. |
