ARB Settles Air Quality Violations for the Winter

SACRAMENTO – The California Air Resources Board (ARB) today announced three settlements have been reached concerning alleged violations of California?s air quality regulations. The specifics of the cases are as follows:
COMPANY: Allsup?s Service Station, 1703 Main Street, Riverside, CA.
VIOLATION: Selling, offering for sale, or supplying gasoline exceeding the state Reid Vapor Pressure (RVP) standard of 7.00 pounds per square inch.
WHEN: April 8, 1999
SETTLEMENT: $750
COMPANY: ARCO Products Company, Carson, CA.
VIOLATION: Selling, offering for sale, or supplying gasoline with a sulfur content higher than the value reported by the refinery.
WHEN: March 7, 1999
SETTLEMENT: $6,000
COMPANY: Medo Industries, Inc., Tarrytown, NY.
VIOLATION: Selling, offering for sale, or supplying liquid air freshener that exceeded the applicable VOC standard for liquid/pump air freshener products in California.
WHEN: April 6, 1998 and December 16, 1998
SETTLEMENT: $8,000
