National Oak Distributors, Inc. Settles For $9,000
In September 2022, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) reached a settlement with National Oak Distributors, Inc. (National Oak), with its principal location in West Palm Beach, Florida, in the amount of $9,000 for the company’s violation of CARB’s air quality regulations.
An investigation conducted by CARB staff showed that National Oak failed to meet the volatile organic compound (VOC) limit requirements for a general-purpose degreaser. CARB documented violations as they related to the Consumer Products Regulation (Cal. Code Regs., tit.17, § 94500 et seq.).
To settle the case, National Oak agreed to the penalty of $9,000. Terms of the settlement include a requirement that National Oak be more rigorous in its compliance of future products. National Oak fully cooperated with CARB to resolve this matter. The $9,000 will be deposited into CARB’s Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality.
