Nails Inc. Settles for $3,800

In January 2020, the California Air Resources Board and Nails Inc. of London, United Kingdom, reached a settlement agreement in the amount $3,800.00. Nails Inc. sold, supplied, offered, and/or manufactured nail polish remover products for use in California, containing concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOC) that exceeded the standards specified in title 17, California Code of Regulations (17CCR) section 94509(a).  The violation resulted in 27 pounds of excess VOC emissions.  To come into compliance, Nails Inc. stopped their website sales of the product to California customers. Additionally, Nails Inc. has informed their customers not to resell this product in California.
