Moya Trucking Incorporated Case Settles for $18,225.00
On April 24, 2012, Moya Trucking Incorporated (MTI) agreed to pay $18,225.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations; $13,668.76 will go to the California Air Pollution Control Fund and $4,556.24 to the Peralta Community College District for distribution to participating California Community Colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program. The Air Resources Board (ARB) audit of MTI was initiated when an informer accused MTI of violating the Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU) regulation. The information provided by MTI during the audit showed that MTI failed to comply with the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP) and TRU regulation. To settle the case, MTI agreed to the $18,225.00 penalty and to comply with the PSIP, TRU regulations.
