Momar, Incorporated Settles For $72,000
In November 2020, the California Air Resources Board and Momar, Incorporated (Momar), of Atlanta, Georgia, reached a settlement agreement in the amount $72,000. Momar sold, supplied, offered, and/or manufactured for use in California, Superco Graff-X, a multi-purpose solvent containing concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOC) that exceeded the standards specified in title 17, California Code of Regulations section 94509(a). The violation resulted in approximately 3.6 tons of excess VOC emissions. Momar has reformulated the Superco Graff-X product and modified the label to make it compliant as a graffiti remover.
