MK Shipmanagement Co., Ltd. Case Settles for $53,000.00

MK Shipmanagement Co., Ltd. has paid $53,000.00 in penalties to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on Febrauary 20, 2013. An investigation by the ARB showed that the MK Shipmanagement Co., Ltd. vessel Ocean Seagull, failed to operate on compliant distillate fuel upon entry into Regulated California Waters. MK Shipmanagement Co., Ltd. took prompt action after being notified of these violations and under ARB’s supervision began operating in a compliant fashion. To settle the case, MK Shipmanagement Co., Ltd. agreed to the $53,000.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
