$2,000 in Fines Paid by Midway Auto Supply

On February 7, 2007, Midway Auto Supply settled a violation of the Portable Fuel Container and Spouts Regulation for $2,000. Midway Auto Supply has a retail store outlet in Texas and offered automotive supplies for sale through their website. From January 2005 to November 2006, Midway Auto Supply sold or supplied 1.25-gallon and 2.5-gallon Gas Containers manufactured by Briggs & Stratton to California residents which did not meet all of the Performance Standards for Spill-Proof Systems specified in Title 13, California Code of Regulations, § 2467.2 et seq.
