Maesa LLC Case Settles for $31,800

A case was settled with Maesa LLC (New York, New York) for selling a Hair Styling Product (aerosol) into California that contained concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOC) that exceeded the standard specified in the Consumer Product Regulation, title 17, California Code of Regulations section 94509(a). Maesa LLC paid $31,800 in penalties for 2.12 tons of excess VOC emissions. To come into compliance, Maesa LLC has made adjustments to the product to meet California Regulatory requirements.
