Loew-Cornell Case Settles for $4,200

On May 9, 2016, a case was settled with Loew-Cornell for selling/manufacturing “Better Way Brush Cleaning Fluid” subject to the VOC limit for the Multi-Purpose Solvent category, title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 94509(a). The product contained concentrations of VOC’s exceeding the 30 percent by weight VOC limit for the category. Excess emissions in this case were approximately 0.35 tons. The company paid $4,200.00 to settle the case.
