Project Details
Omnitrans will use the Clean Mobility Options Mobility Project Voucher to fund OmniRide Bloomington, Omnitrans’ first zero-emission, on-demand mobility service, which will provide flexible public transportation service in and around the Bloomington area using three plug-in hybrid vehicles. OmniRide Bloomington service will provide a clean and safe travel option, improving quality of life and increasing opportunities for residents by expanding affordable, on-demand travel options while reducing harmful pollution. OmniRide Bloomington service will also expand transportation access to locations not previously served by Omnitrans, including job centers such as Amazon, FedEx and Walmart distribution centers in the Agua Mansa area.
