Lancaster Colony Corporation Case Settles for $48,000.00

On February 6, 2013, a Consumer Products case was settled with Lancaster Colony Corporation, Candle-Lite Division for selling and/or supplying non-compliant air fresheners. These reed diffuser products contributed to 4.92 tons excess Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) emissions due to exceeding the 18% by weight VOC limit set under Consumer Products Regulation for Air Fresheners: Liquid/pump sprays specified in Title 17, CCR, section 94509(a). Lancaster Colony Corporation, Candle-Lite Division paid $48,000 to settle this case.
