Kleen Concepts LLC Case Settles for $3,750

Kleen Concepts LLC (Scottsdale, Arizona) sold, supplied, and/or offered for sale a non-compliant Glass Cleaner in California. California Air Resources Board (CARB) Enforcement staff purchased a sample of ShieldMe Lens Cleaning Wipes that contained concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOC) that exceeded the 3 percent limit for the Glass Cleaner: Non-aerosol category specified in title 17 California Code of Regulations section 94509(a). The violation resulted in 0.41 tons of excess VOC emissions, based upon the formulation and the sales information provided by Kleen Concepts. Kleen Concepts ceased sales of the product prior to CARB contact to come into compliance.
