Kinder Morgan/Chico Case Settles for $15,000
In May 2011, Kinder Morgan paid $15,000 in penalties for selling/supplying gasoline in violation of California reformulated gasoline regulations. On July 28, 2008, 6,415 gallons of regular grade gasoline was delivered to a retail service station in Hamilton City, CA. CARB analysis of the regular grade gasoline indicated an ethanol content of approximately 35% by volume, higher than the maximum 10% cap limit allowed by State law.
