J&W Trucking Services Case Settles for $7,125.00
In July 2013, J&W Trucking Services (J&W Trucking) agreed to pay $7,125.00.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $5,344.00 goes to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $1,781.00 goes to Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that J&W Trucking failed to comply with the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP). ARB documented violations as they related to the PSIP. To settle the case, J&W Trucking agreed to the $7,125.00 payments and to comply with the PSIP and other ARB programs.
