Judge Farm, LLC Case Settles for $6,250
Judge Farm, LLC will pay $6,250.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $4,688.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $1,562.00 will go to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program. This settlement was reached in December 17, 2015.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Judge Farm, LLC failed to properly self-inspect their diesel trucks to ensure the truck met state smoke emission standards and failed to report vehicles with engines subject to the Truck and Bus Regulation for which Judge Farm, LLC has elected to utilize the phase-in compliance option, in violation of the Truck and Bus Regulation. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP) and Truck and Bus Regulation. To settle the case, Judge Farm, LLC agreed to the $6,250.00 penalty and to comply with PSIP, Truck and Bus regulation, and other ARB programs.
