Jack Manufacturing Paint & Graffiti Wipes Case Settles for $3,000

Jack Manufacturing of Cleveland, Ohio sold, supplied and/or offered for sale non-compliant general purpose cleaners in California. Staff purchased samples of Jack Manufacturing Paint and Graffiti Wipes which contained concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOC) which exceeded the 0.5 percent limit for general purpose cleaners as stated in the Consumer Products Regulation title 17 California Code of Regulations, section 94509(a).  Jack Manufacturing, supplied, and offered for sale 446 noncompliant containers of wipes between January 1, 2014 and February 1, 2017, which resulted in 24 pounds of excess VOC emissions.  Jack Manufacturing modified their product to be compliant with ARB’s Consumer Product Regulations.
