Ironman Parts and Services Case Settles for $15,000
Ironman Parts & Services will pay $15,000 in penalties ($11,250 to the California Air Pollution Control Fund and $3,750 to the Peralta Community College District for distribution to participating California Council on Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) colleges), for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached in February 2010. An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Ironman Parts & Services failed to comply with the Verification Procedure by installing a de-verified diesel emission control strategy on truck engines. To settle the case, Ironman Parts & Services agreed to the $15,000 penalty and to comply with the Verification Procedure.
