Intermodal Express, Inc. Settles for $2,000

In August 2020, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) settled a case for $2,000 with Intermodal Express, Inc (Intermodal), located in Commerce, California.  An investigation by CARB showed that Intermodal failed to properly self-inspect diesel trucks to ensure the trucks met state smoke emission standards.  CARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP), pursuant to 13 CCR §2190-2194.  In addition to the penalty payment, Intermodal agreed to comply with the PSIP Program.
