Illinois Tool Works Inc. Case Settles for $6,600.00

On December 20, 2013, a case was settled with ITW-Permatex for manufacturing and selling “Devcon Home Rubber Adhesive” subject to the VOC limit for Contact Adhesive: General Purpose, Non-Aerosol category, title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 94509(a). The product contained concentrations of VOC’s exceeding the 55 percent by weight VOC limit. There were approximately 0.34 tons of excess emissions. The company paid $6,600 to settle the case.
