The Home Depot, Inc. Settlement
The Home Depot, Inc. Case Settles for $10,000
On June 29, 2012, a case was settled with The Home Depot, Inc. for selling a non-compliant “Winter Warrior De-Icer” windshield washer fluid product. The product exceeded the one percent by weight VOC limit for non-Type ‘A’ Automotive Windshield Washer Fluid Products in the Consumer Products Regulation, title 17, California Code of Regulations (CCR) section 94509(a). At least 100 units were sold in October and November 2010, and this was a second violation for selling this product. The Home Depot, Inc. agreed to pay $10,000 to settle the case.
