Henkel Consumer Goods, Inc. Case Settles for $77,500

On July 16, 2014, a case was settled with Henkel Consumer Goods for selling “got2b rockin’ it Hairspray” products, subject to the VOC limit for Hair Styling Products: Aerosol and Pump Sprays category, title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 94509(a). The product contained concentrations of VOC’s exceeding the 6 percent by weight VOC limit. There were approximately 6.69 tons of excess emissions. The company paid $77,500.00 to settle the case.
