Harmon Stores Inc. and Vi-Jon, Inc. Case Settles for $13,000

On May 26, 2014, a Consumer Products case was settled with Vi-Jon Inc. (for manufacturing) and Harmon Stores Inc. (for selling and/or supplying) non-compliant nail Polish Removers. These products contributed to 0.47 tons of excess Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) emissions due to exceeding the 1% by weight VOC limit set under Consumer Products Regulation for Nail Polish Removers specified in Title 17, CCR, section 94509(a). Harmon Stores Inc. paid $13,000 to settle this case.
