Haley Farms, Inc. Case Settles for $750
In September 2014, Haley Farms, Inc. paid $750.00 for violating air quality regulations: $563.00 was paid to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $187.00 was paid to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Haley Farms, Inc. failed to timely report all required information for all vehicles in the fleet for which they elected to utilize the compliance options/credits/provisions of the Statewide Truck & Bus (STB) Regulation. ARB documented violations as they related to the STB Regulation. To settle the case, Haley Farms, Inc. agreed to the $750.00 penalty and to comply with the STB and other ARB programs.
