$3,000 in Fines Paid by Grocery Outlet

On May 17, 2006, samples of VitaTress Bodifying Mousse were obtained from a Grocery Outlet store in Rancho Cordova. The mousse product did not comply with the 6 percent VOC limit for Hair Mousses. However, during the investigation the company could not determined how many units of this product been sold in California and they could not identify the supplier of the product. Grocery Outlet settled the violations on September 20, 2007 for a payment of $3,000. This case was closed in September 2007.
