Geiss, Destin, & Dunn, Inc. Case Settles for $3,000
On May 22, 2012, a case was settled with Geiss, Destin & Dunn, Inc., for selling Goodsense Nail Polish Remover Pads subject to the VOC limit for “Nail Polish Remover” product category, title17, California Code of Regulations, section 94509 (a). The nail polish remover product contained concentrations of VOCs exceeding the 1 percent by weight VOC limit. The product was sold from 2007 through 2011 and there were 0.079 tons of excess VOC emissions attributable to the violation. The company paid $3,000 to settle the case.
