Fresh Link Logistics Inc. Case Settles for $14,400
On July 12, 2010, Fresh Link Logistics Inc. agreed to pay $14,400 in penalties for violating air quality regulations; $10,800 will go to the California Air Pollution Control Fund and $3,600 to the Peralta Community College District for distribution to participating California Community Colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program. An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Fresh Link Logistics Inc. failed to comply with the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP) by not smoke testing their fleet of diesel vehicles. To settle the case, Fresh Link Logistics Inc. agreed to the $14,400 penalty and to comply with the PSIP rule.
