FPC Corporation Case Settles for $2,250

FPC Corporation (Wauconda, Illinois) sold, supplied, and/or offered for sale a non-compliant general purpose adhesive in California. Enforcement staff purchased a sample of FPC 9001 High-Strength Adhesive that contained concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOC) that exceeded the ten percent limit for the General Purpose Adhesive category specified in title 17 California Code of Regulations section 94509(a). The violation resulted in 100 pounds of excess VOC emissions, based upon the formulation and the sales information provided by FPC Corporation. FPC Corporation has halted sales of the product in California.
